Best test kid out there? ( fresh water)

test stripes I heard are inaccurate after leaving them for periods of time. You buy a box of 10 or 25, and by the time you near the end of the box it is meaningless. Anyone else confirm this?

Been keeping fish for 30+ years and the only test kit I own is a pH test kit I bought for $1.79 back in the 1970's. LOL!

Just get the API master kit. But be sure to shake the nitrate 2 bottle like the directions say or your readings will be off.
