Best treatment for injury help

What is the best treatment for a scaleless catfish? He/she has a few injuries from either rock, driftwood or another larger catfish. Salt? Melafix? I just added 40-45g of tap water treated with prime. Btw it's a 210g

Raise the temp a little and add a little salt and keep the water clean. Are they open wounds or just scratches? If they're open wounds then add melafix as well

Ill add a heater in the morning so I can better monitor temps and also add salt through out the day. Tbsp/gallon????

Dont add salt if you have a planted tank.

What can happen if you use a little bit of salt? I've always added a little bit, like less than half a dose, to treat for scrapes and such

Can not use on scaleless catfish because they have a type of skin and not scales. Which means that when salt sits on their "skin" it actually burns them. No like with a fire, but it causes them a terrible sensation of burning all over and can kill it because of the stress alone. Fish like discus, angels, scaleless cats, neon tetras, hatchet tetras, etc come from waters that contain no salt at all.
