i have always striped fry after they hatched, but this one guy told me that he stripes eggs before they hach and puts them in one of those fry nets. Then he puts an air stone to keep the eggs moving around in the net untill they hatch. do you guys think this would work and do you have any good methods for striping fry ? any input is appreciated.....

I always strip mine as soon as I notice a fish is holding. I believe it's healthier for them to eat versus holding for weeks. I realize they do just fine in nature, but in a fish tank, weak doesn't always go over well.

I use these to strip the fry:

I tried to use egg tumblers but found them cumbersome. I just use a breeder net with an air stone inside. It creates enough rise to keep the eggs moving...plus the netting is soft and protects them well.

With these methods, I haven't noticed any losses at all :)
