best way to acclimate armatus?

Im driving to the airport later today to pick up my Armatus I orderd from Exotic Aquaria. Im just wondering what the best way to to add him to the tank. Was thinking the drip method for about an hour. Does this sound good or does anyone have any suggestions?
 
When i got mine, I just dumped mine in. Armatus are tough fish!
 
I did a drip for about 45 min then tossed in half a cup of tank water into the bag. Now swimming happily in his new home.

He has some minor damage to his right eye, but nothing that shouldnt heal up in a cxouple weeks.
 
His eye looks like irritation from shipping to me. Every payara that I've had has had it and each of them has cleared on their own in about two weeks.

AWESOME looking fish! How big? Looks to be 5-6 inches...
 
you could of gotten one from payara keeper :)
 
Yupp, about 5.5 inches. And no, still hasnt eaten yet. Iv onmly had him 2 days now. The vendor I purchased from already has him converted to smelt, so hoping he will take my talapia soon.
