:) Hey guys,

Is there a easier way to clean fake aquarium plants (plastic) than just scrubbing them in the sink? Scrubbing each takes a long time and they still don't look to great after.

Thanks for any ideas.

I have always used old aquarium water and just used my fingers to wipe of the algae.

A soak in a mild bleach water solution will clean them up. Keep the bleach weak with plastic plants so it doesn't harm the plastic. Rince them real well when done and soak them in water with some dechlorinator before putting them back in the aquarium.

Lick them clean?

Get real plants ;)

Know what worked really well. A bucket and scoop of concentrated Oxyclean. I let them soak for a hour, washed and they look good as new.

back when i had em id through in the sink with a little bleach toss a plate on them to keep them from floating and go finish cleaning the tank rinse well of course you already know that .

imo GET SOME REAL ONES plastic suks lol

well you can use a mild bleach mixture but you should really use vinegar and water to kill the bleach when done.. found that vinegar is the safest to use in tanks so far as long as you give them a good water rinse when done with it :)
