best way to clean play sand

I got Two 40 or 50 lb. of play sand and want to know easiest way to do and thouhly clean it.

Pillow case. Pour the sand in a big pillow case and run it under water in till the water drains clear.

Where is the label?

I have had really good success just pouring a few inches in a bucket and using the outside hose to run through it until the water runs clear. Pour, rinse, rinse, rinse, repeat lol if the water is cloudy in your bucket, it will cloud your tank.

I for one don't know how to wash washed sand that tells you not to use for aquariums.

it says not for aquariums so i wouldnt use it. there is play sand that is fine but pool filter sand is way better. and its almost as cheap to.

but i just put it in a bucket, fill it with water, let it settle, then do it again until it clears but the pillow case idea sounds like it would be alot easyer. im going to have to try that next time
