best way to Cleaning Bio Balls

well like the title says....i acquired a bag full of bio balls. bu tthey came from a salt setup. How should i be cleaning them?....just water and soak? Chlorine?

Spot on. I usually turn the water heater up a bit and wait for it to finish its cycle then hit the bio balls (Or the bio max substrate pro I had put away thats now in use) with the tub outlet and agitate them as much as possible in the process. Id say do that until they are visibly clean then let them set in hot water for a few hours.

I'd also soak them in a mild bleach/water solution overnight. Rinse several times, and soak again in fresh water with a 10x dose of dechlor.
