best way to cover the holes

On the top of my hood at the back, I had to break off these bendable pieces so the filters will sit down in the holes. Well I just bought a bichir and theres small holes around the filters. What is the best way to cover them?

duct tape is the easyest way to patch holes...

egg crate works a bit better IMO.. cut a piece to fit the whole top and just cut out where the filters sit.. then just put the hood over the egg crate..

I taped over a couple holes I had in my 60. After my Fire Eel decided to escape one day I had to do sumthin. I used clear box tape. Its worked great so far, been in place bout 3 months. And its behind my lighting so noone sees it, don't have to worry about the tank looking all rigged.

I've got packaging tape and filter lids on mine. It works pretty good.
