I bought a used 60" long acrylic that has blue acrylic background. I hate the look of the blue so what can I put in the tank to take the focus off the blue?

Or better yet do you have any examples of pictures that people who have blue background tanks did to make their tank look better?

I love blue backgrounds, just send the tank to me. ;)

is the blue background made up off paint? if it is paint then use paint thinner and scrub it off...I know what you mean...the blue background is so ugly....let me guess its the light blue background hu?

dude its acrylic. these are most likely a piece of solid blue acrylic. you can do one of those DIY background that go on the inside. or you could even take some sort of slate/granite tiles and silicone them to the back wall. there lots of things you can do.

Covering it from inside with DIY background would probably be best.

I have one with the blue acrylic back and threw up some black paper on the back for temp and actually liked it. Sounds odd but I like it better than plain black through clear, the blue tint gives it a more natural look.

Wait...What?

You put black paper on the background? Do they have backgrounds that can go inside the tank?

Yes its an actual piece of blue acrylic so there is no paint thinning going on here.

Silicone a new background over it on the inside. Cmon guys. Any one of those pre made backgrounds will work or even black but you can just silicone it on the inside of the tank safely.

Is it really that easy? I can use a normal background from the pet store and put GE Silicone on the corners so i will stick to the inside of the tank?
