What's the best way for me to get my CK to eat more bloodworms? I have him in a tank with bala sharks and a small aro and when I try to pour bloodworms into the tank, those other guys usually get all of them. Sometimes my CK will have 1 or 2 worms that happen to float by his mouth.

I've tried putting a whole cube by my CK's hiding spot, but he's a little scared right now (got him 1 week ago) and he swims away when he sees my hand in the tank. Other fish quickly gobble up all the worms when I put them on the tank floor.

What do I do? My CK has barely eaten anything. I've tried giving him sinking pellets and flakes too but he won't touch them. I won't give him feeders because I just think it's sad and never liked doing that. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just give it more time. They learn quickly when feeding time is;)

Should eat both above, it can be hard to get them to eat when you first have them, try feeding with the light out.

;) If it's a juvie & you just got it, it's not comfortable w/ it's new home & neighbors yet. It's a nocturnal feeder by nature so adjust the feeding time. It will eat when hungry & learn to compete. The wrigglers, as suggested, are good. Tubifex worms, lil guppies & slow sinking pellets (1-3mm) should work also. Dainichi Ultima worked well w/ mine. "T"

it can be hard to get them to eat at the start.
especially when very small.
but take out the hidespot - and feed sinking, i think its a better choice.
time will make it eat
mine has eated pellets since the start - now eats off the surface and eats hikari floating pellets

thaw the bloodworms in warm water in a separate dish, then use a turkey baster to deliver them directly to the knife. Works like a charm.
