ok so i ended up getting my midas a female jack i think it carrys the bg? its from a batch that had alot of ebjd and has alot of color will post pics of her when she settles in.. so my question is whats the best way to get them breeding and getting along???both about 4in but midas has gotten VERY stocky now nd can do damage so i dont wanna risk putting them 2gether just yet its also my 1st attempt at crossing so the more info u guys have the better water is at best have temp at 84 and have a small bala and tiny convict for dithers (wich are now best friends with the midas). so if u have exp on crossing plz do share

yea i thought so to but i think the cons:screwy: been in tank for quite some time still only 1inch lol...but yea thts why i didnt wait any longer or my midas will start killing anything thrown in with him...also thought it was time since hes making ditches everywhere... fed them each an earth worm see if tht starts anything

Gonna wait till 2morrow see wat happens wonder wat fry will look like tho

what i do use dithers. i live in the mid Atlantic region so what i do is go to local pond and catch sunfish and blugills of different sizes an use them i have found that thees fish work very well do to the fish that they have good size and r strong. i will quarantine for two weeks first. i keep a small school of them on hand just for this sort of thing. and do daily water changes

Do you know what her parents are? I.e. EBJD, BGJD or normal JD?

Don't. Know wat they are but there very sstrong on the blue about 1/4 of the fry came out ebjd..
