Hey Guys
I scored my first big tank and stand... its 100gal Long with a cast iron stand

Its 10 years old so it needs some TLC and prob resealing

What is the best thing to use for resealing a tank this size?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I'm very excited!

Cut out all the old stuff that seals the inside of the aquarium with a razor blade, Be VERY careful.
Clean clean clean

Im not sure how many tubes it will take, i suggest picking up a couple tubes G.E. 1 Silicone for Windows and Doors.
You can always return what you dont use.

Ive resealed a couple of aquariums, i LOVE this little tool

Ive never taped off an aquarium, that is up to you to do in order to get a straight line out of the silicone you lay down.
Use a caulking gun that is of decent quality, the cheap ones really are cheap and can be uncomfortable to handle and sometimes hang up
on you when you want them to stop pumping out silicone.

Thanks a lot Sean that is really helpful, I was unsure if it was GE I or II
I'm going to have to look and see if they have that tool at Lowes or Walmart

also once you strip the old silicone with a razor clean the area with rubbing alcohol so the new silicone sticks to a new clean surface.
