best way to heat tank

hello whats the best way to heat a tank. i have sand as a substrate.

I've always just used a couple a tank heaters, about 4 watts per gallon

The below link will show you the only heaters that I will ever use. If you stick with a well known brand and buy a model that can be completely placed under water, you should be fine.

I always use two tank heaters in every tank........3 watts per gallon............

With a heater.

living in Florida helps . . . but otherwise, I recommend using two heaters per tank, with each heater rated strong enough for the whole tank . . . unless it's a small tank (say, under 55G), in which case one heater should suffice
