So for those that are feeding super worms, how are you storing them? The local LFS has some so they gave me a single one to try on the Jar. Yeah the gusto he pounded this thing with was awesome. I plan on adding this to his list of treats that he may get once or twice a week but prefer not to have to stop at the store on when I want them all the time. Currently buying crickets once a week and gut loading them with carrot and keeping them in a critter keeper.

Keep them in some wheat bran in a plastic bin. Make sure you don't refrigerate them and they won't pupate if kept together. Just feeding them carrots would be fine, but make sure you keep them full or they'll start eating each other. I buy 500 at a time for my bearded dragon and have successfully kept them with no deaths.

Keep in mind that these superworms need water too.. Moisture from potato are prefered but other fruits and vegetables can be used too..
Else they will feast on each other for moisture..

I keep them in a rubbermaid container and with egg crates and ton of carrots best to buy online here is he cheapest place beachdale reptiles they sell with shipping included cant beat this price anywhere.

i would keep them in a bucket. oats about 3 inch thick and i would spray them for some moisture every morning..

No bran no oats

You can get super worm trays they are white plastic with like a mesh on the bottom and a sold tray that goes under Neath the mesh tray/box

The meal worm crap and dust falls throw the mess to the bottom tray

Don't keep them in oats or bran or when you come to feed then you will get it all floating in the tank

Spread the layer of worms thin in the tray as if they are more than 1/2 inch deep they over heat and die from the friction

Feed them every 3-4 days with a apple core as they need the moisture

If you keep then the way I said and you get fresh ones they can Stay alive well over a month

You can feed them pellets or flake food but you will need to feed apple the next day

I buy 1/2kg every 2 weeks for my aro and have used many different way of getting the longest life out of the and the apple way with no bran or oats is the best

Rubbermaid container-about 24inch long 18wide. I buy 3k at a time and put them in the container all at once. They live in about 4inch of peat moss.

I feed mostly cooked sweet potatoe, raw carrot and just about any fruit or veg.
I pour a 16ouce cup of water in the container with them every 3 or 4 days for added moisture. This is important to keep the peat moss from drying out completely and gives them added hydration.

It takes a while to go through all 3k of these with just an aro and severums eating them, (plus using a few for trout fishing), but i've had this last batch about 5 months now and the remaining worms i have left have at least doubled in size.
