Another post concerning fish growth. This past November of 2025 I purchased a juvenile Clown Knifefish to grow out, as a step to getting semi-back into keeping more tropical fish. I placed the fish into a 10 gallon to grow out, where I fed it pellets, brine shrimp, and blood worms (with the occasional Mysis shrimp or etc.) daily or on occasion every other day. The fish seemed to grow barely, which surprised me due to its apparent fast growth rate. Then, about a month or so ago, I moved it into my 55 gallon, where the diet mentioned is still fed. However, I still haven’t noticed any significant growth. I should mention I have a food hogging Yellow Bullhead in the same tank, which I’m debating rehoming. The Knifefish, however, still gets food.
