Hey,
Do you use a mercury vapor bulb, if so what kind? If not what type of fixture do you use for your reptie-sun/repti glo. I want at least 6 months out of what ever bulb I use if possible. This would be for a bearded dragon.
Thanks

Most Mercury Vapor Bulbs are over 100W, and unless used at a distance in larger enclosures, burning of animals can be a risk. Since this is for a Bearded Dragon, I'd recommend just using a Fluorescent UVB light. How big is the enclosure exactly?

Best,
Paul

a 10.0 repti-glo or repti-sun. Both are essentially the same thing. They need to be replace after about 6 months even if they are still producing light because they stop giving off UV after a while.
