Does anyone know the best way to remove surface scratches and some minor scratches in acrylic tanks? Is there some kind of liquid I could place on it to remove scratches?

That is one of the drawbacks of acrylic tanks. Bacteria is going to fill into and live in those scratches for as long as the tank is in operation.

bacteria will cover everything in a tank, besides its not like you can see it.

as for removing scratches, buy a scratch removal kit. tenecor sells them.

Inside or outside of the tank :)

best bet would be to sand and buff. i just sanded down a 180 gal today. it looks pretty good. im doing buffing tomorow. hopefully it wont be has hard as the sanding. its not a hard process. just a pain aching long process. took me 3 hours to sand the whole 180 first with 1000grit then 2000 grit
