Hey Everybody,

I;m no where near ready to buy any rays but just curious what sites or lfs in or around new york that you trust? I ordered a few motoros one time a few years ago from aquascapeonline and I was very pleased especially when they called after the shipment to see how they were doing. I also know some member who sell rays like vamptrev who I had spoken in the past about leos. Won't be moving to the new house until April...so probably the tank will be up and running a month or two after the move in. So im just loking into tanks and such for now aswell as possible future purchases of rays.

Long story short can you suggest members, sites or lfs that sell healthy rays? Thanks also can you let me know places where they sell tanks with overflows that you trust? Will be greatly appreciated.

Keep an eye on the market place here.

x2 these guys call BS when it's needed. I bought my retics from our local LFS that I know and deal with regularly, but I don't think i'de buy anything more exotic then from here personally.

Thanks for the input, most likely it wont be anything exotic at the beginning, maybe just an adult trio of motoros or possibly marble motoros. Id rather purchase a large ray so I could stock with having to worry if tank mates are two big or two small compared to having tankmates according to growth rate and size when pups. Also biggest factor is that they are well established on meals as well as well as the feel of being in an aquarium.

Problem is still fighting with myself... hoping to push for a 48 inch width instead of a 36 width, because pretty sure motoros wont be happy in a 3 foot wide take for long.

Also this is random....would thier be any problems with a trio of rays? I know thier very social but would two females be harassed by the male to often if kept in the tank together permenant? Also if I was to do the trio defiantly the females will be considerably larger then the male...by a few inches.

Thanks for any added input,

also any other sites for more research will come in handy. I have already read through my barrons sting ray book, raylady.com, freshwatersting.nl, and many threads on mfk lol
