Best Wet Pet for a 65gal High and Wide

My flower horn recently passed away, and I loved him to pieces. He was the greatest wet pet--begged for attention, ate out of my hands, and loved attention.

I would like to get another "personality" fish for the tank. Any suggestions???

Hybrid bluegill,most of the ones I bred attained11/4 pound,and would beg to be hand fed,ate anything I offered them such as spaghetti ,tomato slices,pellets,insects ,flakes etc,one of my favorites.

+1 on another flowerhorn....if you want something different you can get
-green terror
-chocolate cichlid
-severum
If you want to upgrade to maybe a 90 gal you can get
-any Amphilophus
-rtm,motaguenses
-fredrichstalli
-Maybe get away with a single festae

The tank is a 65 high and wide----so I'm not sure a Green Terror would work, but I do love the look of them. I had severum before---don't know--she just was eh.

I guess--at least in my mind--Monster Baby--yes that was his name--was so special--I'm afraid another Flower Horn would never live up to him.

Sorry, but the blue gill just is eh looking. I like the fish that have a hump on the head.

It doesn't have a hump but longear sunfish r pretty wild looking, also I thought my strain of hybrids looked pretty nice with the huge mouths and orange fins

Did not mean to insult your fish Jason--just did a quick web search, and the ones I found were a dull blue/green.

I want something that is "owner conscious"---that will interact with me, but will be happy in my tank.

Just looked up the Cuban, and it is a pretty one---think it might get too big for my tank?

The fella who cleans my tanks suggested and electric blue Jack Dempsey. The tank is still cycling--so I have pleasantly of time to research and decide.

If u go the electric jack Dempsey route,make sure to feed him fresh,frozen or quarantined live foods until adult,I also recommend attempting a planted tank for Ebjd.
