So my fighting fish's belly has been getting real big lately. Its a dark fish but hits belly is getting so big its turning white. It looks like there is a marble in it.

anyone ever had this problem? the other fish seem just fine and don't look too fat.

I'll post pictures when i get home.

What foods do you feed it? Try green peas in case of constipation.

Boil the peas and cool them afterwards. Remove the shell that covers the inner parts and mash the inner parts to pieces.

I suggest providing all your fish a little more variety of food.

It is probably bloated from...

Intestinal Parasites
Overfeeding
Dropsy (if the scales don't start lookin like pine cones then it doesn't have dropsy.)

Try feeding it peas like Lupin said and feed minimally for a week after. Feed peas every other day. If he still looks fat it could be intestinal parasites. Try ParasiteClear.

do u feed ur betta everyday? if so... thats probably it.
dont feed adult betta everyday, it will shorten their lifetime drastically.
feed like 3x in a week only. i know they will eat everythng u put there but they dont know better.

i fed the bugger very day. its part of the community tank.

i have it seperated in a breeder container that hangs in the main tank.

I don't have peas as of now will have to go to the store. I'll try starving him a few days.

and the pics are not uploading to the computer. things jus suck. he's so fat. he's starting to get clevage.
