You can do it either way. Most breeders remove the father once the fry are free-swimming. I started with that method, but eventually ended up leaving dad with the fry for much longer periods of time. What I found was that the fry raised with their father tended to be healthier and less aggressive.
 
k cool now I have another quetion. My male built a realy big buble nest for a few days and then it got to cold in my room and he neglected it and he dosent seem to want to build another one. Its only been a couple days is this normal. Then my other male dosent seem intrested at all in building a nest even beeing introduced to females and has been eating blood worms for the past week? I'm not sure what to do. The second male is really mellow when you put females in hes really like whatever.
