Hi Guys,

I have been keeping a Saimese fighting fish in a very small (squarish shaped) tank, designed for a SINGLE saimese.

For the last 3-4 days, when I give him around 4 pellets, he only eats one..and just swims around the others, and goes back to a particular corner...

The tank does not have any heater like my other fish tanks and recently its gotten a bit cold in Australia. Anyone know what I can do?

I have been planning on putting him in my 20 gal with my baby clown loaches, and one rainbow shark... I DO NOT know their compatibility with a Betta nor do i know WHY he is not eating right.

Have you checked the ammonia levels? Do you have a filter on the tank? How often do you do water changes? You really should get a heater, they need temps of 78F or a little over to be happy. Lower temps makes them prone to disease/stress.

Honestly, I have nothing... no filter, no heater, i do water changes every week... but I got that fish when I didn't know a lot of basic things. So just like people have a GENERAL idea bettas don't need so much looking after, i realized they actually do.

I will be moving him into my community tank hopefully today, once I remove my flowerhorn from it.
