...thoughts on this. a 20 long with a sand bottom, at least 2 large pieces of driftwood, a few plants here and there, and - as far as tanks mates go - a ~2" cory cat, a banjo catfish, and a ~5" peacock eel? would it work, say with maybe 9 female bettas? i figured they would mostly be concerned with chasing each other. the only possible threat that someone might think exists is the eel chasing the bettas. what do yall think?

Should be fine, bettas will leave other fish alone as long as they don't look similar. I would leave out the Eel.

I to would leave the Eel out...it gets to large for the 20G and may eventually prey on smaller female bettas. Also corycats like to have members of their own kind...id bump their numbers up to atleast 3 :) Im working on a sorority in my 55G of around a dozen female bettas :)

the eel is not a good fit as the others said, and I would make sure the cory has some other cories as well

ok, well i found the eel dead today :( it had jumped out. i knew they were escape artists and i thought i had made sure there was no opening big enough for it to get out of. i still dont know how she did it.

i do have a couple of other corys but the big one i want to keep doesnt school with them. i cant match its exact species to get it some friends so i figured id just get rid of the smaller 3 since the only reason i got them in the first place was so the big one would have some others to school with. maybe i should leave them all the same but id just as soon get rid of 'em.
