Bettas in Calgary needed

Hey, I'm in need of some female halfmoon bettas. I've found 2 at my lfs of poor quality and old. I need some females for my breeding project. Andy one know where I can get some, I'm in Clagary, Alberta, Canada

Try some of the better LFS's for higher quality stock or order in.
Heres some of the better places in Calgary in no particular order


Golds aquarium
Riverfront aquatics
Big al's
Pisces pet emporium

My local Petland in Shawnessy have been really good at ordering fish in for me over the last year, even some oddballs.

I was at big als, Pisces and riverfront today. Riverfront had 2 but they were big and old. Didn't even look like him females

You can try golds which is off international Ave, that was the only place in the city I found Giant Gourami's. they have some really cool stock.

I find Bettas are really only stocked readily by places like petland, petsmart and other small stores. the larger stores seem to specialise in rarer fish. Pisces for example is specialised towards cichlids and oddballs. I know I saw a tank of female bettas recently and the only place I've been to is Petland in Shawnessy and Big Al's



Oh I forgot Franco's opposite big als, they have some really cool stuff in there, it's where I got my snakehead. The woman in there knows a lot about fish too.
 
yeah I don't know which one you want to use but Shawnessy petland has always worked for me, I know all the managers in there so I can usually get cool fish through order
 
Checked with petland. They said $20 for 6 reg female hm or $40 for 6 female dragon. 6 is the minimum I can't take. These sound pretty decent right? I asked if half half but he hasn't replied. These are the males I will breed. Some fin damage from before.

Find someone in calgary who wants Bettas too and split it with them :)? I would happily help you but I'm more of a 225g predator kinda guy. and I don't know anyone in the city who keeps fish because I'm still a fairly new emigrant to Canada. but splitting the order with someone else is your best bet I think!
