Nice series Hristo. That's a couple of beautiful bettas.

I like the first profile shot the best here. On some of the shots the fish is facing away from the camera. As we all prefer the subject to be facing the camera generally, I think because the caudal fins are so much the focal point of these fish, you can get away with shots like this.

Nice series of photos. The 1st shot is my favorite too. Few others had fish head faced a bit backward, but, that's the minor problem, cause the fully extended finnages are really showing off.

Wonderful fish and very vibrant shots!
As criticism, I'd offer that they’re all quite tight and in some of them the picture bleeds onto the frame. I’d also like to see softer lighting for these fish; I think you could have captured the velvety look of their fits slightly better.
I honestly am tempted to go get a Betta splendens today and try my hand at shooting them. They’re quite the beautiful fish. Of course whatever I pick up would be nowhere near the quality of these fish.

Agree with all the comments, though I think with fish like betta, it's not AS important to show the head facing the viewer, as the tails can be a good presentation on those fish (more so than most others). Softer lighting to have a less "metallic" look would help, as well as more open crops.

Thanks for the comments, Pals !

Yes, I show that back side of these Bettas specimen to accenting on their fully extended finnages…

I’m steel using only the cameras flash and because of that the look is "metallic"…
But I like much exactly that look of my favorite Bettas male …:-P

Yes, the crop is tight close too…because I still not accustomed to those macro-lens and the fishes fill up all the frame…

Are this my Bettas look better looking them in front and close up…you will say...!?
