Bettas vs Predators

Some of you may find it uneasy...

if u are against live feeding dont watch the video :)

Personally when Walmart still had fish I would buy the $4 Bettas as treat for my giant gourami. He would go nuts over em, found out after a few times that his favorite color to go for was the bright red ones. Granted I agree with others that it would be considered cruel in some ways but then again it's also cruel to let these fish just rot inside of a tiny cup on a store shelf for weeks if not months on end. Not to mention allot of the ppl that buy Bettas tend to leave them in their cup at home because "it's all they need" and don't give the lil guy an actual good life. Atleast feeding them to much larger fish is a very quick and painless way to go compaired to just rotting in a cup.

Very nice tank btw.

Btw another suggestion for live foods that would be interesting to see would be either some live small snakes or even some fist sized frogs.

Used to feed baby Gartner snakes to my flowerhorns and my dad's largemouth bass. The bass loved them, granted always had to be fed after the snake not before otherwise he would react quick enough before the snake would try to escape. The FH's on the other hand had only an interest in killing the snake not eating it. Honestly with the size fish you have you could easily feed 1ft snakes to them and they would most likely slurp em down like noodles. Granted still got to quarantine live food just in case. Used to feed live pinkie mice/rats at one point but that was more Carnage rather then entertainment so I don't do that anymore. Another food we used to feed the bass was live crawfish, just had to remove the 2 big claws and then he would go crazy over it.
