my mom was cleanin my betta tank and it had 2 males in it (seperated by glass) anyways she didnt know they would fight so wen she was cleanin it she put them in a bowl together and they were fighting and there fins are all messed up,
so my question is will they grow back?

ya just use melafix and add some salt

should grow back by its self though

good luck

ok noob, melafix is a bacterial remedy. it's used as a precaution to prevent infection. now with salt: ised corectly, it too can be used to prevent infection. it also improves gill function.

When it comes to salt for freshwater fish, we aren't talking about Marine Salt and not in anywhere near the same concentration.

1 Tablespoon per 10 gallons of non-iodized salt is recommended for freshwater. Kosher salt works fine.

In a small Betta enclosure use just a pinch one time. It also would help if you added a heater to maintain a constant 75 degree temp.

bettas are best at recovering after a fight. melafix and salt will work help keep the wounds clean, but make sure the water is clean too. they will have almost full finage back by the end of next week.
some of it might grow back in transparent thought with scar tissue instead of the color it was before.

just give the bettas some time....should be ok
