I have a 100 gallon African tank that is overstocked. Yes overstocked.. And I have a issue that fish waste will gather in the back corner of the tank. What can I do to make it so the filter collects all the waste. It seems as if the inlet of my filter isn't strong enough to pull this waste into the filter. Are there any suggestions or filters?

Python the waste out daily? easy fix :)
OR position your filter output, powerhead so it can blow the waste upward to filter inlet.
I would just do a small daily change water or just suck the waste out at that corner, it's much easier than messing around your filter output or powerhead placement.

What type of filtration do you have? Like said, you can position a power head to blow towards your filter inlet, or just run larger or more filtration. I like running a HOB and a canister on my tanks. Sounds like you need two Aquaclear 110's at a minimum.

Currently its a fluval 405 and a marineland hob with the two bio wheels. The power head is currently positioned half way down and is the reason for the buildup in the corner. And since I got sand any lower seems to blow the sand around quite a bit. I just recently got a aquaclear 75 for a tank I have and I'm rather impressed so maybe I will try to upgrade the hob filter to one of those first.

AC75 or Ac110 give you much more in both mechanical and Bio media than those Bio wheel Marineland and marineland create too much noise :)
