The cheap 10 gallon tanks come with a hood that has lights in it. But I want to light it better. So I figure, glass canopy and led fixture. Only problem is the hob filter. Is there a class canopy that fits the filter? Or some way of getting LEDs in the hood that's on it?

A lot of class tops come with a plastic strip for the back that you cut to size. You basically cut a spot out for the HOB filter.
Like in this photo, the piece in the back (top of pic) is plastic. If your filter is 5 inches wide you just cut 5 inches off.

Oh my god I'm an idiot. I was not thinking at all. I'm formilliar with the canopies but for some reason, I was thinking the filter was on the inside and that I wouldn't be able to cut the plastic big enough. Wow... I can't believe myself lol. Thanks
