I have a python that I use to clean the tank. Since the opening of the tube is so large it has difficulty picking up heavier poop.

So I found out that if I unscrew the tube from the hose and use the hose exclusively, then it would suck up everything in sight. This is probably because the hose is very small in diameter compared to the tube.

The problem is the hose is bendable and it is a nuisance when trying to reach the bottom of a deep tank. My tank is over 5 feet deep.
So that being said is there some sort of DIY or a replacement that I can use in place of the tube that is the same diameter of the hose but also rigid enough that it doesnt bend and can reach the bottom of a tank?

Stronger hose can be purchased at most home improvement stores such as Home Depot or Lowes.

There is a simple solution to this, get 4 pieces of pvc pipe cut to however long you want them to be then bind them around the hose.

Answered your own question, smaller tube. If you want clear might cost a few bucks more but you can see what you're picking up.
