So they've settled in, and the mystery fishies and my GBR both seem to have established their own territories, and are no longer facing off and chasing one another all over the tank. The slightly-less-mysterious-fish, which I figure are a.borellii, seem less territorial and content to just stay out of everyone's way. All the fish are eating well and look good, although the a.borellii are thinner than I'd like - hopefully they'll gain some weight in my tank.
Anyway, I got some better pics of the unidentified fishies. I can't figure out if they're nannacara anomala (golden eye dwarf cichlid) or Laetacara curviceps (dwarf acara/dwarf flag cichlid), or something else entirely. (thanks to the posters who pointed me towards those species!) Would really love some opinions. Regardless of what they are, they're very neat little fish, pretty in a subtle way, and I feel like they were quite the score
Here's the female. She's yellow, with turquoise in her lower fins, and a dark stripe running the length of her body. She's 3/4 the size of the male. She's too quick for me to be 100% sure of the color of her dorsal fin, but I believe it's orange.
with the male (she's on the right)
not sure if this is the male or female (hard to tell unless they're together - his fins are longer, and he's bigger and more brightly colored)
here's the male. He is turquoise, with a dark stripe running the length of his body, there's a thin yellow stripe running under the dark stripe, and dark bars going up to his back from the dark stripe. His lower fins and tail are turquoise (tail seems orange at the base/top half though). His dorsal fin is turquoise for the front 2/3, orange for the last 3rd.
