Better Pics?

I have a Nikon Coolpix 7900. It seems I can get good pictures with the "Action" shot, but the catch is...the flash doesn't work with it. Does anyone have experience with this camera? Is there a way I can get good pics? I'm camera illiterate. Here's some shots anyways...

Use alot of lighting above the tank. Make the tank as bright as possible and it will work out really good.
