Today was insane! I caught 20+ catfish and a couple carp all on dough balls and 4# line with ultra light spinning gear! My plan was to catch some bluegill with ultralight outfit to put on my heaving spinning outfit for mega bass. I bought a nice pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses last week and let me tell you...these things ROCK! I could see fish everywhere that were completely invisible with out them on.

I had so much fun with catfish and carp on light line that I didnt bass fish much. I did have two seven pound plus LMB pull out though. I will get them next time!

I believe the grass carp would have been a state line class record. It took me a good twenty minutes to get him in.

Yes, it was a monster koi. It bit once and only once, but I instinctively set the hook out of excitement and with the circle hooks thats a no-no. I also two huge beautiful platinum butterfly koi that went maybe 10lbs. Id like to catch them and sell them to my local pond store.

Luckily I wasnt hungry for duck otherwise that would have one dead duck! She was kind of cute and followed me around where ever I went...ehh still should have eaten her! lol

we're not allowed to keep them down here, but they're soooo tempting. What did you use to catch it?
