Clown Knife fish or a Delhezi? I just want to see what you guys think regarding the look of these fish with a black aro. And which is easier to keep? Im assuming the Clown Knife.
Better tank mate for a black aro??

No tank yet just making plans for the next couple months. I just want a bottom to mid level dweller that will eat the food the aro doesnt get haha. Most likely tank size will be between 180 and 220 for a year or so.
Good to see some planning going on. I didn't want to recommend a tank mate without knowing the aro's size. If it is a baby then no tankmates until the 5-6" range. Once the aro is 10-11" it can be kept with either of the two tankmates you listed. Of course there are still size considerations to be made. There is also a chance of it not working because of a particular fishes individual demeanor.
ok thank you sir. The black is a little guy about 3" that I rescued from a dirty fish store. He's eatin' blood worms and freeze dried shrimp 2-3 times a day right now. So hell be big enough in 5-6 months time. Im getting the tank set up in the next couple of months but just taking precautions so I know my fish are happy. And Im a firm believer in that the arowana should be the largest fish out of all its tank mates. One of my best friends bought a 12" black about 3 weeks ago. Paid 2 bills for it because it was in great shape. Problem is he had a RTC about 11". One day he woke up and the RTC had a beautiful new tongue sticking out of its mouth.
