Better tank size

Do Africans prefer taller or longer tanks?? And best size for 9?

You could do 20 I think. I've seen more in a tank that size though.

What africans are we talking here? You can't put 9 fronts in a 40 gallon, but you can put 9 mbuna. Africans prefer length over height. Is this a 4' 120?

In a 120 that is over 6 feet? Taking that this is mbuna. I would say 30 or more. If your filtration can handle it

I have a 6' Mbuna community with about 20 adults and 15-20 juvies at all times. Im turning my tank over about 10x per hour and always do 60-70% weekly water changes though

They are bumblebees, peacocks and haps. I'm wondering for my dad. Are these fish compatible? He's wants a tall tank. Should he get long instead?? I know nothing about Africans I keep ca/sa.
