i have a 30g tank with 10x 1-2" jewel chiclids
and 3x 1.5" plecos
and this is what they had done to one of the 4 plecos that i added into their tank

had to remove the other three and relocate them in the koi pond

and these are my fish tearing monsters (better than piranhas IMO)

Sorry to burst the bubble, but the pleco probably died and the jewels picked it apart. If you look closely, there is only fin damage to the tail.

That being said, jewels are pound for pound as tough as any cichlid out there, and infinitely cooler than Ps opinion. :headbang2

Yea, they probably didn't attack it like a school of piranha.
hmmm i do add feeders once in a while
and though not like a school of piranha but i think if you could see a video
they would give the piranha a run for their money

i would post a vid but i don't know how to add vids

I doubt their better than this tank-

Not much lasts in this setup......

With that being said though-P's certainly dont have ne personality like cichlids do----I have mainly switched over to cichlids now.....Just for that reason....Plus pound for pound-they would woop a p.....

:clap:clap the tank and the set up and the fish all look awesome
nice one dude
and good that you are moving towards chiclid keeping
go chiclid go
just curious how big is the tank and how many ps are there in it??

Thanks---
standard 125 gal-I have never counted them-A friend of mine tried on a comp-He came up with 74--And it wasn't a full tank shot either....

Cichlids will be my passion now-I never understood why people liked them so much-until I tried it for myself.....I have been hooked and always will be----It's the safe with a reef setup also......

I just had to give ya a bit of ****......

so what all kinds of chiclids you have
