my lfs has a few bgjd for sale for 4 bucks and they are about 1 inch is this a good deal

If its a powder blue gene jack dempsey that youre talking about yes, thats a good deal. Otherwise if its just a common jack dempsey its not really worth the effort.

they are true BGJD they look way different then regular JD and EBJD

How can you say that?
Not again please. Please Please tell me and show me the difference between a regular jack dempsey and a blue gene jack dempsey. Before you do keep in mind I have raised Electric Blue , regular, and blue gene jack dempsies.

Too answer the question. There is no way to tell the difference between a regular jack and a blue gene carrying jack by looks. Is $4 a good price ? Yes

there is a difference in collor i didnt ask for your negitivity and theres alot of that on here witch is verry rude all i was asking was if the price was good

Honestly did not mean to be rude or negative. It's just there is no way to tell a blue gene jack from a regular jack by looks. Only knowing where they originate from is a confirmation. The color of the fish you are looking to purchase may very well have great color but not different from a jack dempsey which also has great color. Sorry to offend before. $4 is a good price.

BGJD and JD look exactly the same.

reason for the store fish looking different is they maybe be in crap water and stressed as hell so their color is different.

IF they really are BG then good deal, but they are all from the same spawn. Will you get a M and FM and breed them to get 25% EBJDs ?

leviathan64 its kool im not ofended but i do kno where they came from before my lfs got them its a breader from a near by town and how would i tell if a M from a FM

It is hard to tell the quality when they are under 2", and even then you don't know. The saying you get what you pay for is often true. If they were great quality the seller would likely want more for them. Not all Blue Jacks are created equal. Huge difference in quality within the breed. The really good ones are awesome.
