I have come to the conclusion that I might have the most aggressive bgk. Today I added a new loach to the tank and the loach went on the other side of the log to which the bgk normally hides. Well he decided he wanted both sides and has literally chased the loach across the tank and has repeatedly head-butted the loach. And he pretty much always chases after my cichlids and probably has been the reason why a few of my fish have disappeared/died.

Try adding more hiding spots. It'll add more territories and it will give the Loaches another spot to hide too.

My bgk is the same way hes taken out a 20cm catfish and faces off with my jag and owns him for now. I noticed mine is more passive when hes fat and full lol try adding more hidy holes another piece of drift wood perhaps? but re arrange everything when you add it to break up the territories.

yeah i was thinking of rearranging the tank but after finding out my loach will grow to be way to large for this tank i may have to re-home him or sell him to one of my local lfs

he killed both my 7" and 5" zig zag eels, two 3" bullhead gobies, and i know i am forgetting something, but it doesn't matter how full he is he still goes after fish that he either doesnt like or go into "his area"

Dont worry about you loach out growing the tank in a hurry they are seriously slow growing like painfully slow. You may very well have the most aggro bgk there is lol how big is he?

he is a solid 4.5" long haha and the attitude of i don't even know, i have had native species and all of my cichlids have been less aggressive

Well...to make a long story short...I have a BGK that I figured was the one that brutalized 2 Dats, killed 1 Dat, and killed a Fei Feng. I doubt it was the Polys and other Dats.

they are wolves in sheep's clothing, they act all cute and goofy but when it comes to business they (in our cases) are just crazy

mine is never aggressive. Well, actually only aggressive when a fish invades the plastic tube she lives in. One of my gouramis stuck a feeler in her tube when she was in it and she stuck her head out and nipped it. That is the only time she has ever been aggressive. It could be that yours needs another hiding spot. try clay or pvc pipes
