BGK and Cichlids

What kind of Cichlids can you keep with a BGK in a 125 gallon?

I have seen a BGK in with African and Central American cichlids. From personal experience I have had or currently have my BGK with two Parrot Cichlids, and an Oscar.

It should be fine as long as the Cichlids aren't overly aggressive like Dovii or Jag.

So severums, chocolate cichlids and blood red parrots should be okay?

That sounds good. I haven't had much experience with Chocolate Cichlids before, but the other two should be just fine with a BGK.

Should be fine. I heard Chocolates were pretty docile for a Cichlid.

Chocolates might seem quite nice, but they get nasty!

I would reccomend some cichlids from south america that include:
- Severum
- Angelfish
- Discus
- Geophagus
- True Parrots
- Uaru

All should be fine.

i just saw this thread i was wondering would jack dempseys and firemouth work with the bgk?

I used to have a JD with a Knifefish. It wasn't a BGK, but they never bothered each other. Never had Firemouths before, so I'm not sure on their aggression levels, but I have heard they aren't too bad.

I have some Goes, Acara, and angelfish with my BGK.
