BGK and Elephant Nose together?

I want to know who has kept these 2 fish together. Ive seen people on youtube but talking to them about it is nearly impossible. Also i was told something about you must have a grounding rod in the tank.


I read that your not supposed to keep them together because of the electric stuff. But I see that people have done it and had success. I notice alot of things contradicted in fishkeeping and this is one of them.

In what size tank? Tank size is the key.

Usually they will fight, and since the bgk gets larger, its usually the victor. But like knowdafish said, it depends on tank size.

They both produce electrical fields and may "interfere" with each other...in a big tank it's no problem...

In a 75 gallon for right now. The tank has alot of plants caves/rocks and sand. I just was wondering if anyone has kept them together. I seen someone from on here on youtube that had kept them together. I have them together now and its been ok. I was really just wondering. Ive seen that it has worked in peoples tanks before tho.

! keep 13 elephantnose and one Black Ghost Knife together. They have been in the same tank for over 2 years. No problem yet. The tank is a 144g. With lots of rock/caves and drift/bog wood.
