Hi... This is my first post on this forum. I've only been a member for a bit, but I love the information and wealth of knowledge here!

So, for my first post ever, I was hoping to get some opinions on what people think!

I am considering adding a CK and a BGK to my 75g. I was hoping to add both at the same time. I've only had the tank for about a week after moving it from a friends house to mine. Everything seems to be going "OK" with the tank and I haven't had any casualties at all. I've added a couple young (4"?) pleco's to help with a little green on the glass and that's my only addition to the tank thus far. It currently has a good sized cat (non-agressive), a couple good sized bala sharks and a couple bigger blood parrots, plus a Ram(??).

What are peoples thoughts on adding a CK and a BGK? I was thinking adding them together would give me the best odds of them finding there own territories and being less agressive to each other and hopefully everyone else. I do have quite a few hiding spots and I could easily add a couple of PVC tubes as well. I've had a CK and BGK each before, but never together... so I am experienced with each fish.

Thanks for the feedback. I am currently working on a stand to get my 125g up and running with a plan to have it up before those 2 outgrew the 75g. My tank doesn't seem very full with the 8 fish that are currently in it... I would hope not.

Skip the 125g and get a bigger tank. It will save you time and money. A 125g upgrade from 75g won't do much with the stock you currently have. It won't take long before you have to upgrade again.

Like whats said above, a 125 will still not be big enough, CK's get very big and BGK's don't stay small either. If your pleco's are common, they will also outgrow your 125 and create a huge mess. I say don't get the CK because it will get to big

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll probably skip on the CK. I haven't had an opportunity for anything any bigger than a 125, and not sure that is something I want to invest in.

It's probably a good idea to skip the CK. The BGK will be fine in the 75g. They take a long time to grow and most will average around 14"-16" which is fine for a 75g, IMO.
