Can I keep a BGK and a Fire Eel in a 105 gal. (24X24X42)for the life of the fishes? Not sure what to put in with them that will be safe open to any suggestions.

not sure about the fire eel, are they super aggressive? if not then i dont think it would be a problem but then i dont really know anything about fire eels' characteristics so cant really say, but as for suggestions, if your up to the challenge i think discus would look awesome :)

i had a 7" fire eel with 2 6-8" bgks with no problems...you could do angels, discus, severums, maybe oscars depending on the oscars attitude, balas, tinfoils...basically fish that wont try to eat the eel or vise versa...

Did you note the tank size? That tank would be too tall and narrow for a lot of those fish, including a BGK or a fire eel.

yes it could be bigger/wider for the fire eel, but i think it is ok for the bgk as they "top out" at around 20"....i wasn't saying that there should be large numbers of the fish but a pair or 3 could be ok...i think that a longer tank is more needed then the width would be as 2' is not all that small...what would you say the min. foot print is for said fishes?

I don't no about minimums, could be a large discussion on most. But 2'x2' footprint, maybe a couple of angels or a mated pair of discus. I just think 2 foot is to short for any of the other fish listed. That poor 20" BGK(not that any exist) would only be able to swim up and down.
