We bought our BGK about 3 months ago. He was about 3", now he is about 7". We feed him on mainly frozen blood worms. That's all I've seen him eat, but I hope he goes after the red wigglers and ghost shrimp that we feed some others, so that he is getting a balanced diet. My question is, do BGK normally show interest in cucumbers? For about the last week or so I have noticed him sniffing around the cucumber pieces that i keep on clips for my BN plecos. He even appears to be nibbling at it. From what I have read BGK are carnivorous, so I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this. Thanks!

they are predatory so it shouldn't come as a surprise. any fish too small would be considered food.

Had mine for years and never showed more than a passing interest in nonmeaty foods.

Thank you all for the advice. I found a few videos on google with BGK appearing to go after cucumber. Maybe Hiro isn't so strange after all.
