My current stock in a heavily aerated/overfiltered 55 gallon is:

2 satanoperca leucosticta
3 satanoperca jurupari
1 macrognathus siamensis (peacock eel)
1 gibbiceps pleco
1 royal pleco
~10 botia striata

would a Black Ghost Knife be an allright addition to this community? There is far too much driftwood in there already, and I would be willing to add some PVC piping.

Hi, personally I think the satanoperca leucosticta & jurupari might be too boistrous as bgk's are pretty peaceful. I haven't personally kept them together with BGK so don't have the first hand experience.
If it were me I wouldn't do it :)

the satanoperca leucosticta, satanoperca jurupari im having doubts, they are cichlids after all. the pleco too coz they usually are the culprit in sucking the slime coat out of fishes.
