Woohoo, my BGK hit 6"! When I see the babies at the LFS, I get all nostalgic for that time.

Such a cool little guy.

Since late August. I got him when he wa 3" so about an inch a month. I remember all the ghost shrimp I had in the tank when I first got him. Well, now he eats about 12 a day when I treat him. And the black worms...let's just say I have a lot of poop to clean up the next day. He's getting a bit large for bloodworms and mosquito larve that he usually gets, i have to put him on something more substantial. Although he allows the guppies in his tank to breed and exist happily. Any idea how to get them out ;)

not to steal your thread.... but im in the same "tank" as you. i got a BGK about 2 months ago and he's now at or close to the 6" mark...

here's a couple pics. they had to be taken with the flash since he dont come out with the light on, so dont mind the glare on the glass. also, to coax him out i put in a little food, so the images are rotated to get a "profile" shot (if you were wondering how i got the bubbles on the side of the tank  )

Nice fish mj

I would post pics but I only have a crappy camera phone. And phone pics always depress me.

Such a cool little guy...

Gotta go, feeding time,

Hey, that guy is beautiful!! Good pix. Mine has hit the 7" mark--I got him in April at 3.5". He doesn't come out of his tube 'til late, haven't gotten pix in a while. Ya, I know what you mean about the "baby days." It's wild how they grow. . . I've seen him square off with the sev in mid-tank, it's pretty awesome, llike they're gonna do a cichlid lip-lock. The titans clash!!!!!

It would be really cool if you could genetically engineer some mini-bgks and have a school of them in a planted tank. *sigh*

My BGK is clearly the king of the tank. Regally, the other move out of his way when it's time to feed. Very peaceful, unless you are a shrimp, that is..
