Doing a complete South American tank with my 160g, so far I have ordered what is listed in my signature. I was planning to add to that a group of cory cats and lemon tetras and maybe a Gold Sev. As I went through the MFK sub forums (as I do like to browse species that I don't keep but might someday) I thought BGKs were of SA origin and low and behold they are!
I know that they have small mouths and shouldn't be housed with too aggressive of tankmates but beyond that I don't know much. I've kept spiny eels before and was thought that they may have the same type of temperament in a community setting - ignores pretty much anything, will munch on fry but everything else that is too big to fit in their mouth is safe.
So, my question is, with my proposed community setting above, would a BGK fit into the works/tank?
