Hi guys! I plan to buy an 8" BGK and I want to put him in a community of guppies, mollies, swordtails, clown loaches and corydora. Will this set-up work? :nilly:

I dont think it will an 8 inches......I had one about 3 inches with a com tank and eventually the other fish REALLY picked on him.....especially the mollies

I just upgraded my 8" Clown Knife from my community tank because he ate some swordtails. Also in there were some Clown Loaches and all sizes of Corydoras, which remained untouched.

I would imagine your BGK will happily eat fry, mollies, swordtails and guppies.

Exactly! Well said, thats what I forgot....hit that one in the kisser:D

Say bye-bye to the guppies, mollies, and swordtails if you plan on getting it.

The ghost knife will eventually at 1st will eat thier eyes out, and incase the livebearers can fit in the mouth of the bgk, he can gobble them up if detected.

That'll work fine.

really depends on the size of tank. with all those fish it already sounds like you'll have or need a rather large tank, and with a bgk, you'll need an even bigger tank. Other than the size problem, the next one will probabbly be the PH levels, most livebearers tend have a higher ph likeness than that of a bgk.
