I am setting up my 125 to house
3 Uaru
1-2 Sevs
a 6-7" Pleco
and some Geos
almost forgot 4-5 Rainbow Cichlids

My question is would these be suitable tankmates for a BGK?

The cichlids might be a problem. I've never had rainbow's, but in general the constant nagging/nipping might stress the BGK. It's a big tank though, so it's kinda risky. If you decide to do it, give the BGK several large hiding spots where the cichlids won't go; that way at night when he's out he can still search around and swim and do his thing, and if a cichlid is getting too fiesty he can quickly disappear away. The severums I've had did fine with the BGK though, that's what I have mine in with now.
Good luck!

Read through the EXPERIENCES of people housing BGK’s with Cichlids… this set up should work fine…

And if you are gonna ask me :),my cichlids get on great with my BGK,plent of hiding spots though...

I've got quite a big community tank, including a bgk, polys, snake heads, a fire eel and rainbow cichlids, kribs , oscars. Never had any trouble with aggression.Although the biggest rainbow does have wee sly nips of the eel but always gets chased. My tank is set up with plenty of bog wood hidy holes and tall plants. They should be fine at that.
