BGK pellets

What are your experienced with BGK taking hikari cichlid gold pellets, NLS, and frozen shrimp? Is getting them on pellets difficult?

Yeah, but I'm talking in particular to hikari and NLS pellets, not shrimp pellets.


Also the LFS guy says the BGK eats fish flakes, is this a good sign that he will take pellets? I have NLS sink pellets and floating hikari cichlid gold. And floating freeze dried bloodworms.

wouldnt kno, never tried hikari or NLS. mine excepts flakes wen its super hungry but the freeze dried bloodworms will work..i wud try my best to get them to sink or at least wedge them under sum plants so the BGK gets to them easier

I totally just caught my BGK munching on some hikari algae wafers! He regularly nibbles at Hikari carnivore pellets.

my BGK eats floating cichlid gold.. he beats the cichla to the top for them sometimes..

They take pellets pretty easily. I got mine on Hikari Sinking Cichlid Pellets. All my fish seems to except Hikari very easily.

my BGK will eat enything that floats in the top right corner of my tank. Him and by bichir have figured out that this is where floating food accumulates and dart to this corner as soon as I open the lid of my tank. He eats freeze dried bloodworms and mysis shrimp, floating pellets, flake. When I add forzen bloddworms he goes bonkers for it and will hit it violently and shake it like a shark.

Mine and the ones at the fish shop I was running all took NLS no problem.
