Hi guys, i have a bgk in my tank (based on my sig). I wanted a planted tank, but the plants need lighting too to generate photosynthesis (so they can breath oxygen even if we encounter blackouts). The only problem that i have is my bgk won't come out even if it's nightime (coz of the lighting). I know the ghost are nocturnal, but i wanted him to roam around the tank. I have seen some people trained bgk to come out even if there are lights. If so, can you guys provide some pics of the tank so i can know what setup to do? Tnx in advance.

I have mine in a 125gal planted community with 220watts of light . He used to hide under driftwood alot but the last few months he has been comiing out more . Sorry I have no advice he did it on his own . He does love digging around the plants
Here's a pic of the set up

I think it depends on the individual. I had one that hid all the time but we have one at work now that swims all over the tank.

@ kansel - I can't see the ghost on the pic.
I have a friend who has a petshop, and he has two small ghost on his 75g planted tank with assorted fish like mollies, angels, goldfishes, corydoras etc.
I'ved noticed that his two ghost (who are also for sale) don't hide much and explore the tank. But i also believe that those ghost might be hungry coz my friend only feeds floating pellets to the fishes in the 75g tank.
I'm kinda jealous at those guys that has a ghost that explores a lot in thier tanks... :(

His tail is sticking out just below the angels on the left . He tends to stay around there till the main lights go out - I have 80watts on for 14 hours and the others come on for 12 1hr after and go out 1 hr before. he will roam freely all day but mostly after the higher power lighting is off . And he is far from under feed . 3 meals a day for the tank and he is hand feed bloodworms every evening.

I am thinking of removing the pvc pipe, and putting some gravels and adding plants to encourage the ghost to explore more. But i am having second thoughts coz it's kinda difficult to clean a planted tank (with lights on).
